Description

The introductory hazardous substances course is aimed at temporary workers and employees new to companies that work with hazardous substances. What can you expect from the course? First of all, practical knowledge that helps the employee minimise risks. The employee will also learn to take the right safety measures. With this course, your company invests in a safe working environment and lets employees be familiar with dangerous substances from the start.

Course content

The introduction course on hazardous substances covers various topics:

– Classification of GHS labels with examples

– UN numbers

– Recognition of ADR labels

– Limited quantities

– Packaging and labelling

– Emergency response organisation and evacuation

During the course, some test questions are asked to test the employee’s knowledge. After 6 months, it is advisable to continue the course with the Basic Knowledge of Hazardous Substances (NL) or the ADR Awareness course (NL).

Preliminary training

No prior education is required. The course is doable for someone who is committed to it.

Certificate and duration

The course takes 15 minutes to 30 minutes depending on the time put in. We recommend going through the course at least twice to ensure the knowledge sticks. After learning the theory, the student takes a final exam. If the student has completed the online exam with 70% or more correct then she/he automatically passes. The certificate can then be easily and immediately downloaded and/or printed online.
