Employees who may potentially come into contact with asbestos must be demonstrably trained in Asbestos Awareness. They must have knowledge of the risks and know what they are talking about.This concise training equips you with the knowledge to identify asbestos-containing materials and implement safe work practices, essential for health and safety compliance in various industries.
This online Asbestos Awareness course (Dutch) consists of:
- Law and regulations regarding asbestos.
- Recognize different types of asbestos.
- The risks and the diseases that one can contract.
- Signaling, precautions and the steps to be taken.
The Asbestos awareness course is concluded with a practical questionnaire. After answering the questions and provided that the course is sufficient, the student will receive the Asbestos Recognition Certificate.
For whom and Pre-education
Anyone who could potentially come into contact with asbestos; in materials, buildings or in soil. Pre-education is not required. This is a basic course and is doable for someone who is committed to it. We have therefore specifically not linked a duration to the course. The course lasts around 2 hours depending on how much time you put in. We recommend that you go through all modules at least twice to retain knowledge.
Course duration
Around 1 to 2 hours. Of course it can be done faster, but we recommend that you mainly ‘learn’ the lesson material. The course is followed by a number of test questions to determine whether you have actually understood the course material. Everything very easy, but enough to make sure you deserve the certificate.
